How the Daikin Air Purifier Works

Besides a number of practical features, the Daikin MC707 owes its enhanced performance to an advanced 7-layer filtering system, the product of Daikin’s continuous drive for innovation and efficiency.

(1) The Pre-filter – containing catechin – captures large dust particles and pet hairs.

(2) The active Bio-Antibody Filter removes airborne viruses.

(3) The Plasma Ionizer positively charges dust and pollen particles, which are removed by the negatively charged Electrostatic Dust Filter.

(4) The Flash Streamer decomposes chemical substances such as odours and formaldehyde into harmless by-products.

(5) The Flash Streamer also promotes a Photocatalytic reaction on the surface of the Titanium Apatite (6) Photocatalytic Filter that removes bacteria and viruses.

(7) The Deodorising Catalyst breaks down odours.

Polluted Air

1 Pre-filter (with catechin)
Removes large dust particles and pet hairs.

2 Bio-Antibody Filter
Airborne viruses are captured and removed.

3 Plasma Ionizer
Dust and pollen are positively charged and sent to the Electrostatic Filter.

4 + 5 Flash Streamer
High-speed electrons are generated by the Flash Streamer.
These electrons powerfully break down odours and formaldehyde.

6 Electrostatic Dust Collection Filter (front)
Positively charged dust and pollen are absorbed by the negatively charged filter.

7 Deodorising Catalyst
Odours are absorbed and broken down before the air is returned to the room.
